4.5.2 Quotient Rule

The quotient rule is used to differentiate expressions of the form ⅆf(x)÷g(x)ⅆx. The rule is given by ⅆf(x)÷g(x)ⅆx=(ⅆf(x)ⅆx⋅g(x)-f(x)⋅ⅆg(x)ⅆx)÷g(x)^2. The rule is applied automatically when the derivand is a quotient.
